Across the Kitchen Counter
The Conversations That Started It All and Where They’re Taking Us
When Tart AF was still a zygote, I remember Allison asking me, “What do you want it to be, what would we offer”? I said to her, I want people to feel what it’s like when we are together - they are sitting across the kitchen counter - having a cup of coffee, a glass of wine, a friend dropped over unexpectedly. The candid warmth we bring to a room - that feeling of it’s OK to just show up as you are.
The feeling of hanging out with someone who knows all your secrets, still loves you, and loves you enough to call you out - be direct.
And so this weekend, we had a few Tart AF friends over to celebrate.
Where we are headed
One place - creating Salon style Dinners and Talks in NY and VA. The ones in our homes will be intimate gatherings designed to foster deep discussions and connections around specific topics. In this space, all opinions are welcome.
Our first topic: the friendships we’re cultivating, and the ones we’re letting go.
There’s no charge to attend. Spots are intentionally limited - please only register if you’re available to be there. Join us
PS. While we were outside planting, we heard a distinct skin tingling bird call- a powerful piercing - warning other birds to stay away. We jumped, turned to each other and both whispered - Bald Eagle (and the app, Merlin, confirmed). The symbolism of this wasn’t lost on me.
